Trust Administration

With a properly executed trust, the estate will most likely not pass through the probate court. Rather, the estate will enter a process known as trust administration. When a trust is established, a trustee is named to ensure the terms of the trust are met and trust assets are handled properly.

Together with the trustees, we determine how the deceased's debts will be paid and assets will be distributed to the beneficiaries. In some cases, certain assets may need to be processed through the probate court, so it's critical to work with a trusted attorney to determine the appropriate course of action.
